Over the years I’ve been on many forums, crafted many a signature. Counting BBS’s, I’ve been posting messages, and signatures in discussion groups for 26 years. BBS’s, Bulletin Board Systems, are where forums originated. Back then we also had signatures, albeit just plain text or ansi. It’s safe to say I’ve made my share of signatures. I’m far from great at it, but now and then I surprise myself. And it’s time for me to make a new World of Warcraft signature for some forums I’m on.
This time I decided not to make it from scratch in Photoshop, which is what I usual do. I knew of 2 places that had WoW signature generators that would insert my current stats into the sig. What I didn’t know is there are many more sites out there now that will create one for you. So let’s explore some of these sites and what you can loot from some of them. This should save you some flight time, should you decide to run the [Sign On The Dotted Line] quest too.
Our first map coordinate is www.zetbit.com
and their aptly titled WoW Signature Generator. This is one I remember from my previous quest, the only difference I see now is they have more backgrounds to choose form. Enter your name and realm, then you can make up to 5 choices for stats you would like included. The nice thing is they are always current. If you sign one of your posts using this sig, and when other people look at it, your stats will be current no matter when someone sees it. So as your stats change, they will also in the signature. Your next option is the font color. Click in the font color box and a color picker will pop up. Then you can pick a background of which there is around 300 I believe. Select generate and you will be given the links for the graphics versions, and code for HTML and BBCODE. It also generates 2 versions of the signature. You’ll notice it also adds your guild and current title if you’re using one. Here are a couple I crafted.

Our next quest is Thrissa’s Signature Generator Customiser Builder Creator which I found while exploring WOW.com and is probably the easiest. To complete this quest, just enter your server name and character name then attack the “sig me” button and >POOF< You will get several styles of the sig. There is a tab for PVE and PVP styles however I didn’t get anything for the PVP styles except broken link icons. At this point you can also select 5 stats to be inserted in the sig. There are some more stat choices in this one than the last. There are also more bugs. Some of the stats come up 0 and I see “untalented” listed in my sig, which I assume is a bug and not my play level as you will see in the one I crafted below:

however, before you can begin this quest, you’ll have to create an account, but giving them your e-mail address is optional. Your reward for creating the account is your sigs get saved and you can go back and change it. When you make changes, the link doesn’t change. After creating your account, you select your language, server realm and punch in your character’s name. There is an option to upload your own avatar, so I uploaded a bad pic of myself. Use the pull down menu to select one of the backgrounds. Not a lot of choices here, and they are all pretty plain, which isn’t really a bad thing as you will soon see. Once you have picked colors for all the different stats, you can select which stats you want to equip your sig with. You are given 7 slots for stats. This instance has more categories and many unique stat choices. And once your sig has been crafted, you will get links for the usual pic , forum & html code. You will also have the option of making your sig linkable to your WoW Armory page. If your looking for a sig that may not have the fanciest background but can be heavily equipped with lots of unique stats, this vendor is worth a visit.
This quest is turning into a world event and most the time I think the quest givers are long winded. Now I’m going to skip the lore section and jump right to the summary so we can all finish this up quicker. It doesn’t mean I like the following sites anymore or less, I just think we are probably all tried of the WoW speak.
